PARKING FEES WAIVED AT STATE PARKS NOVEMBER 29TH

Staff with the Oregon Parks and Recreation Department are inviting Oregonians to lace up their hiking boots to celebrate “Green Friday” on November 29th.
Chris Havel of the OPRD said they will waive day-use parking fees that day in 25 state parks across Oregon.
OPRD Director Lisa Sumption said fall weather brings a different flavor to many state parks so they are encouraging people to get outside and explore. She said this is the fifth year celebrating “Green Friday” and “we’re excited to continue the post-holiday tradition”.
The waiver applies to the 25 state parks that charge $5 daily for parking. It will be in place from open to close November 29th except at Shore Acres Park, where it expires at 3:00 p.m. due to the Holiday Lights event that will be underway.
