INCREASE OF CAR BREAK-INS AND RESIDENTIAL BURGLARIES IN MYRTLE CREEK

There has been an increase of car break-ins and residential burglaries in the City of Myrtle Creek.
That’s the word from the Myrtle Creek Police Department. A message on the department’s Facebook page said authorities have some active leads and are working on locating the person or persons responsible.
The message reminds residents to keep homes and vehicles secured, especially at night. Valuables should be removed from vehicles and items like purses, wallets or firearms should not be left inside. Police said vehicles should be locked day and night.
Anyone who sees suspicious persons or vehicles in their neighborhood should call the Myrtle Creek Police at 440-4471, so an officer can be sent to check the situation out.
