A Coos Bay woman was jailed for second degree theft on Tuesday night.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 9:45 p.m. the 31-year old woman was detained after she tried to exit Fred Meyer after allegedly not paying for over $500.00 worth of merchandise. The report said the woman had been briefly detained by store employees but got away and was captured by police across the street at Burger King.
She was released on Wednesday morning.
