AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY THROUGH 4:00 P.M. WEDNESDAY

November 13, 2019 4:00 a.m.
An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in place through 4:00 p.m. Wednesday for central Douglas County and much of the region.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said strong inversions and limited mixing are leading to periods of poor air quality. That could cause issues for people with respiratory problems. Forecasters said those with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.
The Advisory said state air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
The Advisory area also includes Josephine and Jackson counties, eastern Curry County and the Klamath Basin.
