A transient was jailed for drugs and resisting arrest by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office on Monday afternoon.
The DCSO report said at about 3:45 p.m. a deputy attempted to contact a male on a bike near the corner of Rolling Hills and Char Street in Green. The report said the suspect took off and was actively trying to get away. The male eventually crashed his bike and two deputies grabbed him but he continued to resist arrest.
The suspect was identified as 32-year old Nicholas Giordano. He had three warrants for his arrest. When he was searched the man allegedly had two small baggies containing a crystal substance. The man also reportedly had a used syringe and a new small metal container with residue.
Giordano was taken to jail for unlawful possession of methamphetamine, the resisting charge and for the warrants. He was detained without bail.
