LEAF COLLECTION PROGRAM CONTINUES

The leaf collection program from the City of Roseburg Public Works Department continues through early next year.
Pickup is moving in a clockwise direction from the Laurelwood neighborhood. It takes two to four weeks to make a complete cycle of the city limits depending on the quantity of leaves that are left out. A City release said leaves should not be placed in the street gutter, ditches, bike lanes, too close to parked vehicles or on top of catch basins. Those that put leaves in the City’s right-of-way are responsible to keep drainage structures clear of leaves during rainstorms until the leaves can be picked up.
Residents who would like to have one or more loads of leaves delivered to their property can call the Public Works Department at 492-6730. The release said crews will not pick up anything else except leaves that have been raked and piled up.
