CITY COUNCIL TO HAVE GOAL SETTING MEETING

November 11, 2019 9:50 a.m.
The Roseburg City Council will have a Goal Setting meeting on Tuesday.
The meeting agenda said the current goals adopted by the Council will expire at the end of this year. The group needs to decide whether to adopt new goals for 2020-2022.
Four goals were adopted in the spring of 2017 to be worked on from 2017-2019. Those were:
*Develop and implement transportation funding policies to meet identified community needs.
*Support and adopt policy development and implementation to enhance housing and community development.
*Take a proactive role in community economic development and revitalization.
*Develop programs and policies to enhance community livability and public safety.
The agenda said once those goals were adopted, staff prepared and presented a list of potential action items associated with completing the overarching goals. It said many of the goals are still valid, but potential action items need to be updated. New goals may be added as well, according to the agenda.
The meeting will be held in the Public Safety Center Umpqua Conference Room beginning at 4:00 p.m.
