AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY CONTINUES THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING

November 8, 2019 3:50 a.m.
An Air Stagnation Advisory continues through Tuesday morning for central Douglas County and surrounding areas.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said strong inversions and limited mixing are expected to persist through at least early next week, leading to periods of poor air quality.
Forecasters said that could cause issues for people with respiratory problems. People with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice for dealing with high levels of air pollution during periods of stagnant air.
The National Weather Service message said state air quality agencies highly recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
The Advisory area also includes Josephine and Jackson counties, eastern Curry County and the Klamath Basin. It is slated to remain in place until 10:00 a.m. Tuesday.
