Covering coastal Douglas County:
Officials with the City of Reedsport are applying to the United States Department of Agriculture Rural Development Program for Community Facilities Grant funds.
A release from the City said the total amount applied for is $36,300. The funds would be put towards the purchase of a police car. A public meeting announcement is a requirement of the USDA-Rural Development granting program to inform the community and to provide an opportunity to voice any concerns.
That public meeting will be November 18th at 5:00 p.m. in the conference room of Reedsport City Hall.  Call 541-271-2109 for more information.
