A man was jailed after a harassment incident on Tuesday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just before midnight a victim said that 26-year old Anton Hubschman had hit her at a residence in Canyonville, and drove off intoxicated. Another caller reported that a vehicle had crashed into her fence and yard on Ash Creek Road, also in Canyonville.
A deputy responded and determined that the suspect had taken off after his vehicle hit the fence. The car was eventually found but the man was not with it.
Hubschman was taken into custody later. He was initially held on charges that include failure to perform the duties of a driver, reckless driving, harassment, 4th degree assault, and strangulation. He was detained on $30,000 bail.
