MOTORISTS SHOULD EXPECT FREEWAY DELAYS

November 5, 2019 3:40 a.m.
Motorists on Interstate Five in the Roseburg area should expect days Tuesday and Wednesday nights.
Dan Latham of the Oregon Department of Transportation told News Radio 1240 KQEN that rock scaling work will be taking place along the westside of the freeway from the fairgrounds interchange to the landfill exit. Latham said some work may take place near Mount Nebo as well.
Rolling slowdowns will be used in both directions of the freeway, with traffic delayed up to 20 minutes between 7:00 p.m. and 5:30 a.m.
Latham said in the southbound direction, pilot cars will lead freeway traffic on a low-speed approach from the Winchester area through Roseburg. Flaggers will hold traffic at each southbound on-ramp from the Del Rio/Winchester interchange to McLain Avenue.
Northbound rolling slowdowns will begin north of Myrtle Creek, with flaggers holding on-ramp traffic from Boomer Hill Road to McLain Avenue.
