AIR STAGNATION ADVISORY THROUGH WEDNESDAY

November 4, 2019 9:20 a.m.
An Air Stagnation Advisory remains in effect for central Douglas County through Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said strong inversions and limited mixing are expected to persist through at least mid-week, leading to periods of poor air quality. That could cause issues for people with respiratory problems, according to forecasters.
The Advisory said people with respiratory illness should follow their physician’s advice during periods of stagnant air. State air quality agencies recommend that no outdoor burning occur and that residential wood burning devices be limited as much as possible.
The Advisory area also includes Josephine and Jackson counties and eastern Curry County.
