A woman was hurt in a two-vehicle accident near downtown Roseburg on Wednesday morning.
A report from the Roseburg Police said just after 11:15 a.m. two vehicles were traveling east on Oak Street. The vehicle in the right-hand lane, operated by a 16-year old Roseburg male, reportedly turned into the left lane and struck the other vehicle, driven by a 30-year old Roseburg woman. The impact caused the second vehicle to spin around 180 degrees. Both of the driver’s side wheels struck the curb. That vehicle suffered significant damage and appeared to be totaled. The first vehicle had minor damage.
The driver whose vehicle was hit, complained of head and neck pain and transported herself to Mercy Medical Center where she was treated and released. The teen driver was cited for making an unsafe lane change.
