Tickets are now on sale for the 9th annual Gala and Dance Competition presented by Battered Persons Advocacy.
The event, sponsored by CHI Mercy Health, will be held at Seven Feathers Casino Resort on February 22nd of next year.
A BPA release said each year community members with all levels of dance experience, or no experience at all, join a team to learn a performance with one of BPA’s coaches. The competition started with 6 couples performing salsa for 150 guests, to earlier this year, having 40 dancers compete for over 900 guests.
The release said the fundraising goal for the 2020 gala is $70,000. Every dollar raised will be matched by grants.
BPA’s mission is seeking to create a community that is free of family violence, sexual assault, stalking, and human trafficking through empowerment, support and education.
