The Roseburg Marching Ensemble will be traveling to their final competition of the season in Eugene this Saturday.
The 2019 Festival of Bands will take place at Autzen Stadium. It brings in over 30 bands from around the northwest for a long and competitive day.
An RHS release said the University of Oregon’s Marching Band will host the event in connection with the NW Association for the Performing Arts. The Roseburg Marching Ensemble is scheduled to perform at 3:35 p.m. along with all the other bands in the preliminary round. The top placing bands in A, double A and triple A class bands will be given awards according to their class. The top 15 placing bands will be invited to perform in the final competition which begins at 6:00 p.m.
For those who may not be able to attend the performance in Eugene this weekend, the band will offer a free encore full dress performance of the entire program, Monday November 4th at 7:00 p.m. at the RHS Stadium.
Tickets for Saturday’s event in Eugene are $15 for adults for an all-day general admission. There are discounts for seniors and students. The event runs from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.
