A 23-year old woman was jailed following the recent theft of a motor vehicle.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said earlier this month, a Wolf Creek woman reported that her vehicle had been stolen. She told deputies that she heard it had been taken to a residence on Bridge Lane, by Tera Florek and a male.
The report said the vehicle was recovered in Josephine County that weekend and that there was probable cause to arrest Florek.
On Monday, Florek was contacted during a traffic stop on Tunnel and was taken into custody regarding the case.
She was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle and for first degree criminal mischief. Florek was initially detained on $150,000 bail.
