With continued cold nighttime temperatures, the Roseburg Dream Center Warming Center will be open again on Tuesday night.
The facility is at Foundation Fellowship on Southeast Lane in downtown Roseburg. Dinner will start at 7:00 p.m. and the doors will close at 10:45 p.m.
Organizer Christopher Hutton told News Radio 1240 KQEN that donations to help the facility can be dropped off daily through Thursday from 9:30 a.m. to 1:45 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 10:45 p.m. on any night the center is open.
Hutton said volunteers are needed to help. He said desserts that can be frozen for future nights and frozen meals that can be heated up for dinner are needed.
Hutton told KQEN that a larger facility is needed for the Dream Center. Currently organizers have to transition the dining area into a sleeping area and back again the next morning. He said they have outgrown the current facility as the number of homeless needing to use it has greatly increased. Hutton noted that they are now the only warming center in Roseburg.
The Dream Center plans to be open on Wednesday night as well.
