A record low for the date is expected for Roseburg, early Wednesday morning.
Forecasters at the National Service said the mercury is expected to drop to 23 degrees overnight. That previous record low for the date is 28 degrees, set in 2002.
Tuesday morning the low at the Roseburg Regional Airport was 30 degrees, just above the record low for the date which was 29 degrees, set in 1936.
Wednesday night into Thursday morning the low should be around the freezing mark then lows should begin to moderate for the rest of the week.
