FOSSIL FREE FUTURE TOPIC OF GLOBAL WARMING COALITION EVENT

“Moving Towards a Fossil Fuel Free Future: The Economic Benefits for Rural Communities” is the title of an event presented by the Douglas County Global Warming Coalition, Wednesday night at the Roseburg Public Library.
Speakers will be Dr. Randall Bluffstone, Professor of Economics and Director of the Institute for Economics and the Environment at Portland State University and Dylan Kruse, Sustainable Northwest’s Director of Government Affairs and Program Strategy and a member of the leadership team of the Rural Voices for Conservation Coalition.
The pair will discuss the economic potential for rural communities in the areas of forestry, agriculture, sustainability and renewable energy in a world transitioning to a healthy climate future, according to organizers.
