A Roseburg man was jailed on assault charges on Tuesday.
A report from Roseburg Police said an investigation into a disturbance in the area of the 2200 block of Northeast Vine revealed that a male victim intervened in an alleged assault by 49-year old Michael Mansfield. That assault was against a different individual in their RV after which Mansfield reportedly struck the victim on the head and face with an object.
Both victims sustained minor injuries during the incident.
Mansfield was held for both second-degree and fourth-degree assault. He was initially detained on $256,250 bail. The arrest took place at about 1:20 p.m.
