Douglas County 4-H Leader volunteer training is happening soon.
A release from the Oregon State University Extension Service said 4-H is a positive youth development program where caring adults help teach youth life skills while educating them in a specific project area. Douglas County 4-H has project areas encompassing animal science, communication, expressive arts, food and nutrition, engineering and more. The Cloverbuds program is also available for youth ages 5-8.
Training will be held Saturday November 16th from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and Tuesday December 17th from 5:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.at the Extension office next to the courthouse. Potential volunteers only need to attend one of the sessions.
