October 22, 2019 9:30 a.m.
One driver was cited following a two-vehicle crash in the 2500 block of Stewart Parkway in Roseburg on Monday.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at 11:00 a.m. an 85-year old man was traveling south on the road, passing Sherm’s Thunderbird. A 58-year old woman was leaving Mercy Rehab from the driveway next to Dutch Bros. The second driver didn’t see the first vehicle and drove directly across Stewart Parkway. The first driver was unable to avoid the second vehicle. His car’s front bumper struck the rear bumper of the other vehicle.
The report said the second driver gave the first driver her information but said that she did not have insurance. She left before police arrived. The woman was contacted later and cited for driving uninsured. The first vehicle did not need to be towed away.
