MAN JAILED FOR INTERFERING WITH POLICE

A Roseburg man was jailed for interfering with police early Monday.
Information from Roseburg Police said at 4:00 a.m. officers contacted several subjects sleeping under a metal shed at the corner of Diamond Lake and Fowler. During the contact, a 27-year old decided to take off running. He was taken into custody after a short chase and initially detained on $6,250 bail. Four other people at the location were released after being cited for prohibited camping. Two of them had been cited for camping at that location on Saturday as well.
