A Sutherlin man was jailed after his vehicle hit a house on Thursday night.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at about 10:20 p.m. 33-year old Anthony Adams was driving when he crashed into the exterior of the living room of the residence in the 400 block of Northside Road. Initially Adams and his passenger left the scene but Adams returned and admitted that he was the driver.
The report said the man was visibly intoxicated and consented to a field sobriety test. He performed poorly and was taken to Corrections where he provided a BAC of .14 percent which is nearly two times the legal level for intoxication.
Adams was charged with DUII alcohol and four counts of reckless endangering. He was initially detained on $35,000 bail.
Three people were in the living room of the house when it was hit.
