SUTHERLIN MAN INJURED AFTER DRIVING INTO A POND

A Sutherlin man was injured after driving into a pond on Wednesday afternoon.
The report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said at 4:15 p.m. 67-year old Chris Hagemaier was driving out Fort McKay Road when he began suffering a medical emergency. His van hit a second vehicle, crossed the road, went through a fence and into a pond. Hagemaier was taken to Mercy Medical Center to be evaluated. He is in serious condition at last check, according to a hospital spokesperson.
