October 16, 2019 11:10 a.m.
Entries are still being accepted for the Douglas County Annual Veterans Day Parade.
The event will begin on Monday November 11th at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Roseburg.
Billed by organizers as the “greatest Veterans Day Parade in Oregon”, the parade has been the biggest one in the state on several occasions. This year the Grand Marshals will be representatives from generations of military families with the theme being “Celebrating Multi-Generational Military Families”.
A release from County government said the parade will follow its traditional route starting on the corner of Northeast Fowler and Northeast Diamond Lake Boulevard by the Roseburg Public Library. It will travel south on Jackson, turn left onto Southeast Lane Street, turn left onto Southeast Main and then right onto Southeast Douglas in front of the Douglas County Courthouse.
Entries for the parade are due by October 31st at 5:00 p.m. The entry must include a completed parade application and the $5 entry fee. Entries received after that date will not be judged. Late entries will be added to the parade line-up in the order they are received.
