The Roseburg City Council has a short agenda for its meeting Monday night.
Councilors will consider a library policy update. In September of last year, councilors adopted a resolution which gave the library a framework to guide the services offered when it opened in December. Now two changes have been proposed.
The first is the addition of a Teacher Library Card. Staff are proposing that it be issued to full-time kindergarten through grade 12 classroom teachers and school media staff who are employed by private or public schools within the geographical boundary of the Roseburg School District, but who live outside the Roseburg city limits.
The second change would allow student cardholders to place a maximum of ten items on hold simultaneously, regardless of material type and format. Student cardholders currently cannot place items on hold. Staff say making the change would facilitate the learning needs of students.
Library Director Kris Wiley will present information from the 2019 annual statistical report from the library as well.
Councilors will meet at 7:00 p.m. in the council chambers.
