THURSDAY AFTERNOON WRECK IN DRAIN AREA

October 11, 2019 9:00 a.m.
No one was hurt in a two-vehicle wreck Thursday afternoon in the Drain area.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said just after 3:00 p.m. a deputy observed the accident near the intersection of Highway 99 and Sand Creek Road.
The report said it appeared that a vehicle driven by a 40-year old man from Drain was following an SUV driven by a 39-year old man from Springfield too closely. The first vehicle crashed into the second as the second driver waited for another vehicle to turn onto Sand Creek Road.
The first driver was cited for following too closely, driving uninsured, and for driving while suspended.
