TWO PEOPLE TAKEN TO THE HOSPITAL AFTER ACCIDENT

Two people were taken to the hospital following a two-vehicle accident in downtown Roseburg on Wednesday morning.
A report from the Roseburg Police said at about 9:50 a.m. a pickup driven by a 73-year old man was northbound on Stephens at the intersection with Oak Street. A station wagon driven by a 32-year old man was eastbound on Oak. The pickup struck the drivers door of the station wagon when they collided. The report said both drivers claimed they had a green light and there were no witnesses to confirm either statement.
A passenger from each vehicle was transported to Mercy Medical Center to have their injuries evaluated.
No citations were issued.
