ROSEBURG SCHOOLS HOLDING LISTENING SESSION TUESDAY NIGHT

October 8, 2019 3:50 a.m.
Roseburg Public Schools will host a community listening session Tuesday night to receive input about the district as a whole as well as how potential funding from the Student Success Act should be prioritized.
The 6:00 p.m. informal meeting at Rose School is open to students, families and community members. Dinner will be provided by the district’s Nutrition Services Department.
The RPS release said school districts are required to apply for funding available through the Student Success Act and must engage their community in a needs assessment process prior to the application process. Funding from the Student Investment Account can be used for reducing class size, increasing instructional time, addressing health and safety needs and ensuring a well-rounded education.
Free bus transportation is available to and from the meeting. Buses will arrive at the school by 5:45 p.m. and will begin return routes at 8:00 p.m. For bus information check the full story at www.541radio.com.:
