The Umpqua Health Alliance Community Advisory Council is now accepting applications for community projects.
A release from UHA said the CAC has earmarked more than a quarter of a million dollars for projects that improve the overall health of Douglas County residents. The release said the funding stream aims to address the key focus areas addressed in the most recent Community Health Improvement Plan. That includes behavioral health innovations, social determinants of health, families, children and healthy lifestyles, and inviting programs which improve health equity.
Since 2016, Umpqua Health Alliance has designated more than $1 million for these community health improvement programs.
The application can be found at www.umpquahealth.com and will be accepted through December 15th. Call 229-7058 for more information.
