Several Forest Service campgrounds on the North Umpqua Ranger District have closed for the winter.
Mark Turney of the Umpqua National Forest said the Eagle Rock, Horseshoe Bend, Wolf Creek, Canton Creek, Steamboat Falls, Coolwater and White Creek campgrounds have closed.
There campgrounds on the North Umpqua Ranger District remain open:
*Applecreek
*Bogus Creek
*Hemlock Meadows and Hemlock Lake
*Island
*Boulder Flat
*Lake in the Woods
