A Roseburg man was cited for reckless driving early Saturday morning.
A report from Roseburg Police said at 2:00 a.m. an officer drove up on the scene of a single vehicle rollover accident near the corner of Northeast Winchester and Klamath. The report said an investigation revealed that a 23-year old man was driving northbound on Winchester at a high rate of speed. When he approached the curve at the top of the hill, he lost control of his vehicle and careened up the bank on the right side of the road. The man’s vehicle then flipped over onto its top and slid upside down into the roadway for approximately 50 feet. The vehicle came to rest about 200 feet past the location where it originally jumped the curb.
The report said the man and his passenger received minor injuries in the form of cuts and scrapes, but were otherwise uninjured. They refused medical transport to the hospital. The vehicle was totaled and had to be towed from the scene.
