WATER SYMPOSIUM FRIDAY NIGHT

Two groups are teaming up to present the Roseburg Water Symposium on Friday night.
Umpqua Watersheds Wilderness Committee and the Douglas County Global Warming Coalition are offering an evening of information regarding the state of southern Oregon now, and in the future.
Presentations will be given by Jason Dunham, PhD. and by Joseph Blanchard. Dunham is a Research Aquatic Ecologist for the U.S. Geological Survey Forest and Rangeland Ecosystem Center. Dunham will speak about ongoing work on water, beaver, and other species now in the Umpqua River. Blanchard is the Watersheds Program Manager for the Umpqua National Forest. He will present findings from a recent climate change vulnerability assessment and adaptation report for the forests of southwest Oregon.
Their presentations will be followed by a question and answer period.
