A tow dolly crashed into an Oregon Department of Transportation cable barrier on Wednesday, after becoming detached from the vehicle that was towing it.
A report from Oregon State Police said a motorhome had the tow dolly attached with a passenger car on it, as it headed northbound near the Yoncalla/Drain exit at about 2:30 p.m. The trailer with the car exited the right-hand shoulder of the freeway and hit the barrier. The trailer and the vehicle sustained major damage. About 50 feet of the cable barrier was damaged as well.
The motorhome’s driver, an 81-year old man was not injured in the accident.
