A report from the Roseburg Police said at 9:00 a.m. a 46-year old woman was driving northbound on Stewart Parkway when she allegedly swerved to another lane in order to prevent her vehicle from being hit. The report said her vehicle then struck another vehicle, operated by a 79-year old man, as he was turning left onto Stewart Parkway from Renann.
Witnesses told police that the woman had a red light and that she didn’t stop.
The man was transported to Mercy Medical Center after a complaint of pain from his side air bag deploying. He was treated and released.
The woman was cited for failing to obey a traffic control device.
