A combination grand opening/reopening celebration will be held at Umpqua Community College on Friday.
The college will mark the reopening of its newly-renovated campus store called The Hawk Shop while Rogue Credit Union will celebrate the grand opening of its student-run branch, located inside the store.
Gene Pelham, President and CEO of Rogue, said the credit union is thrilled to partner with UCC. He said they are “excited to provide employment opportunities and financial education for UCC students and to serve the community, students, faculty and staff.”
Friday’s event will include a ribbon cutting ceremony, music and more. The festivities will continue the following Monday, September 23^rd as the campus store welcomes students back for the new fall term with special promotions, giveaways and more.
The celebration will begin at 11:00 a.m. and continue until 1:00 p.m.
