A Riddle man was cited for careless driving following a two-vehicle accident on Wednesday afternoon.
Information from the Roseburg Police said at 2:30 p.m. the 53-year old from Riddle was westbound on Garden Valley near Stewart Parkway and was distracted and unaware that traffic was backed up and stopped in front of him. The report said his vehicle struck the one in front of him at nearly fully speed. The passenger in the second vehicle was transported to Mercy Medical Center by ambulance for treatment of back pain. The driver drove herself to the hospital where she was treated and released.
