The 51st annual Winston Dillard Melon Festival is underway through Sunday.
The event features food, games, music, vendors, and prizes and is held at Riverbend Park. Saturday morning there will be a parade at 11:00 a.m. Saturday night will feature live music from the local band Tripwire, followed by fireworks in the park. A car show will be held on Sunday along with mud volleyball and a magician’s show. Kids games are offered all 3 days.
The festival runs until 9:00 p.m. on Friday. Saturday hours are 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Admission is free but donations of nonperishable food will be accepted at the gate for the Winston Dillard Food Pantry.
