The Zonta Club of Roseburg is having its 8th annual Iron Woman competition on Saturday and registration is still being taken.
The major fundraiser is held to reduce violence against women, stop human trafficking and give women a hand up to make a transition to a better life.
Teams of 2 women, over 21 years old, combine their scores in events ranging from shooting hoops, corn hole, and bowling to disc golf, putt-putt golf and horseshoes. The event will begin at Backside Brewery at 8:30 a.m. The Backside bus will provide transportation for all participants to each event. The day concludes around 5:00 p.m. following Hors d’oeuvres and prizes at the closing ceremony.
Registration is $150 per team and includes transportation, the events, equipment, lunch and more.
