Tickets are still available for the K9s in the Grapevines fundraiser presented by the Friends of the Umpqua Valley Police K9 programs.
The event will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Melrose Vineyards. The evening includes catered food and wine from Melrose, a souvenir K9 wine glass and presentations by the Roseburg Police, Winston Police, and Douglas County Sheriff K9 teams. Those attending can learn about the program, and hear stories about the dogs and how they love their job.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office recently announced that it will add another K9 team to protect and serve the community.
The Friends of the Umpqua Valley Police K9 Programs is a non-profit group that raises money to help the various K9 teams.
