The milestone will be celebrated in front of City Hall on the corner of Douglas Avenue and Jackson Street on Thursday September 19th at 10:30 a.m. Blue Zones Project Umpqua Organization Lead John Dimof and Mayor Larry Rich will lead a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The release said, to reach approval, the City implemented evidence-based best-practices from around the country that focus on moving more, eating better, connecting socially and finding purpose. The City Wellness Program helped facilitate the efforts to guide the process of becoming certified.
