The Roseburg VA Medical Center is planning to host a free Veterans Stand Down at its Roseburg campus on September 25th.
The opening ceremony for the Stand Down begins at 8:30 a.m. and free services to veterans will get started at 9:00 a.m. The event will be held in the VA auditorium.
Free services for qualified veterans include dental, vision and hearing exams, clothing, haircuts, flu shots, legal aid, Department of Defense surplus, information on veteran’s benefits, employment, and mental health, and veterinary and counseling services.
The annual event is designed to provide free services to disadvantaged veterans. Veterans should bring valid identification and proof of veteran status such as a VA ID, military ID, or DD-214.
