MAN DETAINED AFTER DOWNTOWN INCIDENT

A Roseburg man was detained following an incident in downtown Roseburg on Tuesday.
A report from Roseburg Police said at about 8:20 a.m. multiple citizens reported a disturbance in which a 39-year old man was blocking traffic near the corner of Oak and Spruce. The report said the man was gesturing wildly towards cars, started removing his clothes, struck one vehicle and threw his shoes at traffic.
Henry Beckwith was charged with second degree disorderly conduct and for recklessly endangering another person. He was initially detained on $8,750 bail.
