The City of Roseburg’s 2019 Storm Rehabilitation project will begin the installation of cured in place pipe liner on roughly 3,500 feet of existing storm drains city wide starting on Wednesday.
A release from the Public Works Department said CIPP is a cost-effective approach to extending the life of corroded and failing storm drains by more than 50 years. The release said the process does not require trenching or excavation but will involve temporary traffic control for access to manholes.
Work this week will take place on sections of Hickory Street, Riverridge Avenue, and Lorraine Avenue. A complete list of impacted streets is available at www.cityofroseburg.org.
The storm rehabilitation project is intended to be an ongoing annual activity that has proven to be effective in preventing sink holes and road damage from failed storm drainage lines, according to the release. This year’s project is expected to be completed within 3 weeks.
