The Roseburg Firefighters Care Blood Drive will be held Tuesday and Wednesday at the Red Cross Blood Donor Center in Roseburg.
RFD Assistant Chief Merrill Gonterman initiated the event as a way to give back after his daughter Hannah survived leukemia which required 40 units of donated blood. Her son was born healthy following the many transfusions.
The event will run from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blood Donor Center is at 1176 Northwest Garden Valley in Roseburg.
