Registration is still open for the 2019 Vineyard Tour Bike Ride which is happening this Sunday.
Presented by the Umpqua Velo Club, the event offers 5 cycling routes which range from 15 miles, 30 miles, 50 miles, 75 miles and a 100-mile ride. Each route uses lightly traveled rural roads as riders pass by vineyards, wineries, forests, fields and orchards. All routes are fully marked, supported with stocked rest stops approximately every 15 to 20 miles and support vehicles which patrol the route in case riders have a mechanical problem or just need a ride back to the start of the course.
Online registration closes on Saturday but riders can pay a $10 surcharge and sign up the morning of the ride at the Discovery Garden next to River Forks Park. Registration will also be available during the Great Umpqua Bash in Stewart Park on Saturday night from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Go to www.thevineyardtour.com for more information or to get signed up.
