Wednesday was one of the hottest days of the year so far in Roseburg, but no record high temperature was set.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service told News Radio 1240 KQEN that the mercury hit 97 degrees at the Roseburg Regional Airport. The record high for the date was 102 degrees, set in 2017.
Temperatures are expected to cool considerably for the next week. 89 degrees is the forecast high for Roseburg Thursday. Afternoon highs will remain in the 80s for several days.
