A Coos County man was jailed on vehicle and computer crime charges on Wednesday.
A report from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office said their agency received a bulletin about a vehicle being stolen out of Lakeside sometime Tuesday night. A deputy was driving through a parking lot in Canyonville at about 9:50 a.m. Wednesday when he saw the vehicle and a man with it.
The report said the 27-year old initially gave a story about how he had bought the car that morning. Eventually the man admitted to stealing the vehicle.
Seth Schuler was charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, possession of a stolen vehicle, for computer crimes and ID theft. He has since been released from custody.
