A Heat Advisory is in effect through 8:00 p.m. Wednesday for central Douglas County.
Forecasters at the National Weather Service said high temperatures will be between 90 and 100 degrees.
Hot weather will increase the chances for heat related illness, especially for sensitive groups and people without air conditioning. Heat stress is possible for livestock and outdoor pets.
Residents should drink plenty of fluids, stay in air-conditioned rooms, stay out of the sun and check up on relatives and neighbors.
